Public Relations Manager/Trainer - Montego Bay
- Plan, develop and implement PR strategies.
- Liaise with and answer queries from media, individuals and other organizations.
- Prepare and distribute press releases.
- Prepare in-house publications, speeches, articles and reports.
- Monitor and maintain the Hotel’s social media accounts.
- Organize events such as exhibitions, open days, tours.
- Assess Training Needs of all departments.
- Assess Training content and provide feedback to the Director of Human Resources.
- Source courses based on the needs of the staff.
- Conduct training on property.
- Coordinate Skills Training Programs.
- Ensure that key Performance Indicators are maintained and evaluated consistently.
- Counsel Team members.
- Plan and coordinate training based on budgetary constraints.
- Assist with general staff welfare programs.
- Foster community relations through various events.
- At least a Bachelors Degree in Education, Psychology, Hotel Management, Public Relations or Marketing
- Training in Management and /or Supervisory skills
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in a Public Relations and or Human Resource Management and Training position
- Trained Counselor
- Experienced in mediation
- Excellent Command of English
- Versed in Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to work flexible hours and on own initiative
- Capable of working under pressure.
- Willing to travel inland and overseas from time to time
- Experience in large hotel operation.
- Excellent knowledge in international standards of resort ambience
- Excellent knowledge of Costing and Inventories.
- Excellent Leadership skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Excellent Human Resources skills in leading and training a large staff compliment.
- Spanish as a second language would be an asset
