Junior Systems Administrator Intern

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Attend training classes at Ctrl-IT
• Achieve Certifications
• Assist and support the project's senior system administrator in support of the project's infrastructure.
• Document key procedures and maintain documentation according to standards
• Identify areas for process and productivity improvements
• Implement operating system enhancements that improve reliability and performance.
• Provide troubleshooting and administer servers running various operating systems including Linux and Windows.
• Install windows manager and Install/load operating system software.
• Basic Networking
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
• Windows technologies (Active directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, WSUS)
• Terminal Services
• Linux Technologies
• Application Virtualization
• Scripting
• Virtualization (Vmware, XenServer, Hyper-V)
• Domain Security
WHAT YOU WILL ACHEIVE
• A+ Certification
• MCSA Certification (Server, Desktop, and Cloud infrastructure)
• CCA Certification (citrix)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Interns should be pursing or have completed an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar IT engineering discipline. Interns should have computer proficiency, good interpersonal and communication skills, some knowledge of Microsoft and Linux technologies and the ability to work in a team environment.
Free training will be provided.
